We'd like to extend a warm welcome to Daniel Seff who is the latest in a long line of apprentices to join the team here at South Shields. Daniel will be working toward gaining his NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating. Studying at Gateshead College and gaining practical on the job experience with our time served/gas registered engineers Daniel said "I'm really enjoying the new experience so far, it's great to be able to get out on the job as well as continue my education in class"
Jordan Rutter has just began his second year of his 4 year course also studying at Gateshead College. He has been a great addition to the team, with an enthusiastic approach and a willingness to learn - we look forward to continue working with him this year and supporting him in his study to become qualified.
Managing Director Phil Hartley said "An apprenticeship gives you hands on experience, a salary and the opportunity to gain qualifications while you work. It's great to be able to offer this to young adults in the region to help them grow and develop"
Apprenticeships are so valuable to businesses and young people alike. We've all heard the stories or experienced first-hand where school leavers, college leavers or university graduates are unable to begin their career in their chosen field as they don't have the experience. To start on the career ladder you need both qualifications and experience...apprenticeships give you BOTH.
