The special event, which culminated in the launch of the charity’s corporate tree, was also attended by several businesses who provide ongoing support to Grace House through corporate sponsorship.
Highly Efficient Heating’s Managing Director, Phil Hartley, attended the event alongside business leaders including representatives fromGentoo and Gravity Force. The ribbon was cut by the Chief Executive of Grace House, Victoria Brown, accompanied by Chairman, David Cook.
The corporate tree adorns an entire wall of Grace House’s reception area and greets visitors as they enter the building. Each leaf on the tree is decorated with the logo of a corporate sponsor and the charity’s mission is to fill the tree by increasing their work with local businesses.
Grace House provides support to children, young people and their families from across the North East with complex disabilities, health needs and life limiting conditions. Not only do they provide overnight short breaks and therapeutic activities for children and young people, they are also developing additional services for families and carers including counselling, support groups and complementary therapies.
Phil Hartley said: “Supporting local charities is at the heart of Highly Efficient Heating’s ethos and we’re a long-standing supporter of Grace House. We’re honoured to become a corporate member of such a great charity and delighted that our contribution will make a difference to the lives of children and young people from across the North East.”
